I finally recieved my XJ Cd's and need to resynch the carbs on my 1985 Maxim X, but cannot find the plug for YICS port. Looking on the XJ Cd, the Maxim X does not talk about plugging the YICS port, but the XJ 700 does show it. Am I correct to assume that the X model does not have or need the tool.

    Right on brotha!

I have an 86 X, and I asked the same question about a week and a half ago. We have the Genesis engine, not the standard YICS motor.

You are correct - the 700/750 engine has YICS, the 700/750X engine does not.

Super! One last thing for me to worry about. There was a post for a manometer made from baby food jars but I cannot find it. I need to build one to sync the carbs. I know I need to break down and buy a set of gauges but am not ceratin which ones I want to get.
