I kinda like it. The end of the side stand was cut off because the frame has been lowered. He should have removed a section of it and re-welded the pad back on.

Yea I can dig it for sure. Maybe not 1900$ worth of loving it. But it doesn't look bad by any means lol

A couple dollars at K-Mart, and he could add blue tassels .... Maybe even add a clothespin and a baseball card to make the spokes sound like a motorcycle.

Must be why he went with a single disc on the back instead of just a drum

I like the idea of being able to see my front tire and not the road ahead of me like that headlight is pointed right :)

The thing I find MOST amusing, is that it's a 400 special. You really got to ride one to appreciate how little power they have, and how small they are-----:)

Holy smokes! I'm trying to sell my wife's 83 750 Shadow that is all original but some nicks and scrapes for $1,200.

I guess if I chuck the fender, brakes, turn signals and shocks it'll be worth a bit more.

Question: It's electric start only, will I reduce the value too much if I leave the battery in it?

No.... Put a DEAD battery in it----- that way you can pop start it, but any one trying to steal it won't know how to start it-----
You know...... It's priced higher cuz its got a anti-theft system installed-----

Is that the one you re-did for your dad?

I had a 400 special but it was waaay to small for me. I would ride alright, but I had to peddle, too....LOL

I DO have one of the xs400 Seca models......not on the road yet, though---

My veeery first bike ever was an 80 400 special. That thing had zero oomph but was reliable as heck. I like the bobber!
