Has anyone tried these in their XJ tires? Are they as good as they're claimed to be? At ~$10 they're a bit expensive compared to lead, but they're supposed to be reusable, so I'm thinking they'll last the life of the bike.

I have them in a scooter, and also in my XJ. The XJ has weights on the rims, so I can't really tell a difference. But on the scooter --- OH MY!!! It went from a shaky machine at 50 mph to smooth as glass!

Lets just say that I'm a believer in them.

Small ceramic balls - you put 1oz of them into your tires and they dynamically balance the tire every time it moves.

LOL, you mean a high school dropout balance job! At least that is who does the tire service in this part of the country.

Anyhow, to each his own. No sense arguing about these things. You either like them or you don't.

Sounds slightly more respectable than carnie.

My Dyna Beads are on their way. I think it's a great idea, and cheap too.

Does anybody here have access to a new computerized tire balancer? I'd be willing to throw a couple bucks your way if other people would also to run a test. Take a tire and conventionally balance it. Then pull the weights off and add Dyna Beads. Then check it on the balancing machine.

I would be more than interested to hear the results from one of our members here.

I'd fund the research as well. Let's get this checked out, I'm spending hours balancing my tires with a static stand.

Static balance to zero will almost always leave a dynamic imbalance, but most times it's so small as to be unnoticed

Well, I ordered them Friday, recieved them today (Monday), and had them in my tires in about 15 minutes. I removed the valve cores, poured them in, aired up, and away I went. Absolutely perfect to around 87mph. That's about as fast as I could push through the 6pm traffic one exit to the next. I'm very pleased, and vow to run them in any bike I own.

Thats how I feel too, kevineleven. I'll keep buying them from my own personal results.
