    Anyone know where to get aftermarket parts like a tach/speedometer that will work? I have an 81 xj650 maxim im not a huge van of the analog.

    Let me know if you get it to work. I dont have a gauge to my tank tho

    Yea ok i dont have a gas gauge either and i dont think the gears will show just the speed and tach i believe

    An evening of browsing the DYI and the Modifications sections of this forum will get you the info that you need.
    As for as the speedo ratio, it is 60MPH=2240 RPM, which is common amongst all Japanese bikes of the era.
