My grandaughter was born on the 4th of July just so you Yanks could have a great party.

We're taking advantage of it tonite! They blow of hundreds of thousands of dollars of fireworks ecah year, around here.

Millie Rose was 12 yesterday (not new born I'm afraid) and she will be coming out to Spain to spend the summer holidays with us in a week or so.
She's blonde blue eyed and a real stunner, bright as a button and back in January when I last saw her she had grown somewhat. Bumps and curves where I don't want to see bumps and curves, think I will have to play the wicked old grandad this year and keep an eye on the local lads.

An old friend in New Jersey has told me about the celebrations yesterday and apparently fireworks are banned there, sounds very much as if a few of the English jobsworths have emigrated.

My oh My! You are going to have your self a job fighting off the hoards!
They keep growing up younger & younger. A bit of a shame the innocent years are not long enough.

I know, even my wife says we are in for 6 weeks of hell this year. At 12 I was still out in the street with a snotty nose shooting down ME109s or trying to catch and or Geronimo and her indoors was still playing with dolls. Nowadays it seems to be make-up clothes and pop idols.
