    Hi guys,

I'm going to be riding my bike in Toronto for the first time (wish me luck, rather wish that I don't need luck), and although I believe parking bikes on Toronto streets is free, can you provide any advice, experience or things to look out for.

    Specifically I will be at

    Any advice?

    Thanks in advance!

As I remember, parking at any CITY parking is free -- like on-street parking meters and parking machines.

You can check their parking sites right on their website:

Using Google I found this gem: dated October of 2005
    Motorcycle parking
Operators of motorcycles will benefit from a decision to give them free parking on Toronto streets. Council agreed to amend City bylaws in order to exempt motorcycles from parking fees at on-street parking meters/machines. The rationale is that parking receipts tend to disappear from parked motorcycles, resulting in unwarranted parking fines. Council also wants the Toronto Parking Authority to consider designating areas for motorcycle parking at its parking lots.
    edit:
    From City of Toronto's web:

Another bonus about motorcycles here in the Toronto area, we can use the HOV - high occupancy vechicle lanes on the highways, normally reserved for cars with 3 or more people in them.

You might want to double check that - last I knew Ontario still doesn't allow motorcycles to use HOV lanes - you WILL get ticketed - trust me on this one.
There was a whole flap about it, and a big petition submitted to the MTO, but as usual it did absolutely nothing.
