so we ended up logging about 400 miles on our trip to Astoria this weekend. since it was just an over niter, I packed light, unlike the wife.

we saw lots of great scenery, but took few pics. I noticed after my second fuel fill, that I had a fuel leak. so I decided I better do something about it in long beach today. we stopped at the napa in long beach and I bought a stick of fuel tank patch putty and borrowed a screw driver to scrape the soft bondo off.

I found fiberglass under some of the bondo and stopped scraping. then I mixed up a patch and applied it to the tank.

apparently there are more holes, as there was still a small leak, but we made it home without issue none the less.

here is a shot on the ferry ride across the Puget sound on our way home. there is my 750, the wifes yp400, a couple triumph's, a kawasaki and an extremely gorgeous Harley.

I especially liked the freeway pegs on the Harley.

that being said, I really liked the triumph thruxton. that is one cool looking bike.

I had some time to tinker today, so I decided to see what I could do to fix my tank. I took it off and drained what little gas I had in it, and started scraping. omg! five holes from a dent puller under fiberglass!

I got it cleaned up best I could and applied more of the fuel tank patch.
