    Hi all,need a manual or even owners handbook for 1982 xj400,been all over the internet,found no listings at all!!!! maybe itss the same engine as the xj55o?anyone help?

    Sweet bike.

    "Maan" and "Gazzz" in this group both have XJ400s, so you might want to PM them regarding manuals and parts.

    I believe they both have mentioned that the XJ400 shares many parts with the XJ550. (I think Gazzz said he orders parts out of the XJ550 dealer catalog because they don't have one for the XJ400).

    Exactly, Nothing differs. almost every part in an XJ400's engine is replaceable with the 550's.

    Unfortunately there aren't many/any manual's for the XJ400.

    Besides anything u need to know, feel free to ask. :)
