Hey guy's I am on my way to rebuild my head and came across a nice trick for cleaning the carbon off so I thought I would share.
Oven cleaner and a stiff Bristol brush and a little elbow grease and the head cleans up in no time!
First cover in oven cleaner the brush well it is still covered. You will see the oven cleaner change color as you scrub. Wipe to see what's left and repeat if necessary! Here are some pictures to show you before and after!
I am not done yet and would like them cleaner before full disassembl. DSC_0021.JPG DSC_0021.JPG DSC_0030.JPG ww DSC_0030.JPG DSC_0021.JPG DSC_0030.JPG DSC_0021.JPG DSC_0030.JPG to get a

Wow, that's a big difference. I like how you can see the number on the cleaned valve, and nothing but crud on the dirty one.

I never said new trick, I said a nice trick! I do know it is an old trick as I got it from a mechanic friend of mine and I thought it was pretty cool after using it! Does a great job buy I did buy the dollar store brand so if I bought a brand name it might work better.

Just be sure to get the oven cleaner rinsed off well. It will pit the aluminum.
