XJ550 Engine Vibration

    Still working out the kinks in my '81 550. From 5k-7k there is a very noticeable engine vibration. Any ideas on what may be causing this? Its enough to make it uncomfortable while driving.

    Do a search, I think this has been mentioned before, and mine does this too, but only about 5k-6k.

    Have you synced you carbs yet? I've found that when my bike is out of sync I get some fairly significant vibrations at higher rpms.

    5k-6k or so on mine... Yeah, its definitely there, but I just figured its part of the cycle, and I normally speed past it when I am that high of an RPM.
