I used the Avon Azaro radials and loved them They were a few sizes too big but they just fit. The handling was vastly improved.

A few sizes too big? Was that on purpose? Generally you can go a little wider, but too wide and you change the tread profile by squeezing the tire onto the bead. A few sizes bigger and you trade stability for faster tip-in, and at some point you trade tire life too.

Radials tend to have stiffer sidewalls. Side by side (same size tire on the same bike) I can't tell much difference during normal street use. When riding hard you might notice that the suspension is working harder because the radial is flexing a little bit less than the bias-ply tire did. The difference that I notice the most is when changing tires myself. Radials take a bit more grunt to get over the rim.

Not by choice but they were the only matched set that would fit. Front was a100/90-19 originally and was a 110/80-19 radial. that size is easy to find. The stock 130/90-16 is impossible for a rear tire but I was able to pound a 150/80-16 on the back by pounding on the swing arm. They have since been replaced by the Storm 3D. My only concern is that the rear might be a gnat's fingernail wider and won't fit. BTW mine is an XJ1100

I saw those Conti radials and thought about the first time i put radial tires on a Mustang......wow. Then i asked myself if i'd put bias tires on my Beetle....... I think not.
My Kendas might make the summer so I've got some time.
