Just like some good quality cars, they put on those heat-barrier "tape" or "shield" on the engine bay firewall, to reduce cabin temperature.

To be clear, this is not about Exhaust Wrap.

What's the ideal add-on product or modification to reduce radiant heat from the engine to the fuel gas tank, and also preferably those area of electrical wiring below the tank / above the engine ?

I have been looking it up online, and have seen a few different materials.

It seems possible that heat could reflect back at the air cooled engine. These things run hot as they are... It could create an overheating situation. This is only a hunch, as I have no evidence to support this theory.
Is it something like DynaMat? Sound and vibration dampening along with shiny reflective material? Could you include links to the material you are looking at? I have a feeling I know the stuff, but I want to be sure.

It simply isn't needed. I don't think that it would do any harm, but it would add weight to an already heavy motorcycle.

The best way to keep an air cooled bike cool is to keep moving forward!

for awhile i had a quart oil bottle, cut open and made flat with a heat gun, wire tied across the frame rails, under the coil area. Not for heat but to keep water off of the coils and to keep the rats nest of wires in place

it wouldn't be hard to fashion a shield like my oil bottle out of aluminum roof flashing and make it as big as you want. you would have to make it so air could flow through it while you're moving.
as far as the gas getting hot, i think a black tank setting in the sun a few hours gets hotter than the engine heat will ever make it
