Removing the tank badges 86 Maxim-X

    I'm going to repaint the tank and wonder the best way to remove the tank badges. There's no screws holding them on and these are like rectangles with rounded corners.

    The other question is how to best re-apply them after the painting is done.

    not sure if this will help but someone posted about removing badges from sidecover held on with double sided tape. he used a little heat and dental floss as a cutting tool wear gloves or you will cut your hands.

    They can be reapplied with double sided tape for emblems, available at any autoparts store.

    dental floss or fishing line will work to remove them ,using a sawing action to cut through the existing tape
