So the turn signals I bought for my hike broke right off after a month of use. I shpukd have used rubber washers, but oh well. So instead of buying them again, I'm going to take the threaded part out (the part that snapped) and replace it with something Stronger. But I can't seem to find something hollow in the right size, so the wires can still get through. Here's a pic of what I'm looking for. But it needs to be 10mm around the outside to fit in my signals.

What you want is a threaded lighting nipple. IT will be difficult to find metric sizes in the U.S. If your local ACE hardware dosen't have it in stock then you can order from
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/bhp/threaded-tube

One thing to consider is that if you replace the weakest part with something stronger, which thing is going to break then next time?

Oh Canada, my home and Metric land... If you can't find your part, maybe a Canadian with metric nipples would mail you one.

trying so hard not to make a comment...

I found that Lowes have a pretty good selection of metric parts like this - I'm not 100% sure but I believe I've seen these there. They'll be in the drawers in the hardware section.

I don't think anything else would break. Especially if I use a rubber washer. It's just the rod that had all the vibration

And please ignore the threads I made today exactly like this one, I seemed to have accidentally posted them thinking this one didn't go through.

Something always breaks. Preferably the most inexpensive thing.
