I just bought an 82 xj1100. It has 22k, doesnt appear to every have been down, is in great original condition, and even came with the original (excellent) factory owners and shop manual. I've had many bikes in the past, but this is my first Yamaha and XJ, so I have some questions. I appreciate you taking the time to indulge me...

    - In by casual surfing of this site, I havent seen many posts about the 1100. are there not that many around?

    - I think may need new front calipers. Are they available, or a rebuild kits available?

    - I am thinking about replacing the exhaust, what are my options? Any likelyhood of finding a used one?

    Thanks in Advance
    Greg

I agree with used is used best to save and go new if you can. And turn outs have a nice sound and no rejeting the carbs.
