Aw mann, such a cool bike to be chopping up. Who am I kidding though, your projects always looks better after you've had your way with them.

It's a Suzuki. They were built for chopping up.

It's all perspective: don't say chopping up, he's CLEANING it up. Lots of scratches and digs, so it's not like he's hurting a pristine example. Plus, the dog seems to like it. Last street tracker was amazing. I'm excited to see where this thing goes.

Your welds look a little plastic. Try upping the amperage...lol

Nicely done indeed. Do you have a tubing bender, or was that done on a homemade buck?

Polock, are you asking about that sharp looking edge where the fuel line seems to rub? Because that's what I'd be worried about. Eeep!

Yeh, I needed a bit of room there, it's properly plated, though & the only thing sharp is the guy that did it.
    PS, it's carbs, plural.

Dude, this is awesome. I have a dr650 - great bike, and this dr800 you are working on is one of the euro market predecessors to the 1st gen dr650. Always like the looks of the faired models, freewind, etc.

I think dr650 is such a superb bike. I always loved its looks. I owned dr2005 and always enjoy riding it. I have hauled dr2005 to my location from Florida using hauling services from here. I am a huge fan of bikes, infact I have a collection of bikes which includes Hayabusa, Yamaha YZF R1M and dr2005.
