Ok, so My oil filter case's bolt is stripped. I have used a dremel to cut a notch in the bolt, but even with my man-power, the use of a drill, and my father, we cannot seem to get the bolt to budge. any ideas?

See what looks like a washer under the nut, is in fact, part off the nut, get a long, thin cold chisel & knock it round.

you been working this for a while
grind down the remaining bolt head carefully untill the washer base of the head turns blue and thin then it will fall off then you will be able to pull off the case and remove the bolt shaft. go carfully, there is a thread somewhere where someone else does this I will look for it.
you could drill into it and use an easy out but if it snaps your problem gets harder

Just to clarify, was the head of the bolt rounded off or are the threads stripped?

Since you've pretty much destroyed the bolt, you may wanna check out the spin-on filter conversion that xj4ever sells. Another expense, but you won't have this problem at the next oil change.

I've got a back up oil filter case to use. But I will keep the spin on in mind for the future.

Ross: The bolt was rounded off

Okay, did a bit more grinding and got the case loose. I can see the broken crease of the bolt and the front of the case. It wiggles and spins, but won't slide off yet.

Careful grinding/dremel-ing to get the burr off so you can slide the cover off. I've done this a lot.....
