Xj700x with pods possibly tuned!!

So first off I took this bike on trade, came with pods and moded exhaust.
I have finished carbs in accordance with the church of clean and proper valve adjustment.
The jets all were changed by the PO to match the pods n pipes. Bike would only run choked and at higher rpms.
Now the bike will start properly but idle slowly fades out, or if turned up will hang at 2k comfortably. I am waiting for the emgo gauge sync tool and hoping this fixes it.
I found 4 turns out on the mix screws seem to run a lil better but I will update once sync is complete. I hope this is helpful to anyone.
BE SURE YOU CLEAN THEM CARBS!!!

 

Did you record the jet size(s) installed by the PO? Did you wet set the fuel level in the bowls? Chacal has a very good write-up in The Information Overload Hour forum for establishing a baseline when running pods. You might want to check it out.
