Alright, so the most recent fix I've made to the XJ750MK I've been riding and working on all season was the installation of a used MAC 4 into 1 exhaust system I managed to get at what is to me a reasonable price. I wanted to go with OEM but it wasn't available in my price range.

I bought it used, and what I received in the mail was the header/midpipe unit, the muffler, and the heavy duty ring that secures the muffler to the midpipe.

I know these kits are supposed to come with an array of brackets, you seemingly choose one of a few supplied to hang the muffler from the rear foot peg bolt, and there's a bracket I guess must go on the other side hanging from the other foot peg that acts as a stop for the center stand so it doesn't keep banging against the muffler. I don't have these brackets and would like the dimensions for them if available.

My friend who helped me mount the exhaust fashioned a really simple one to hang the muffler with, but the center stand is smacking up against it and I want to replace the muffler hanging bracket anyway with one of the correct dimensions. If anyone who has this kit, and a ruler could just let me know a good eyeball of the hole to hole dimensions of the muffler hanging bracket, and the hole to 90* bend dimensions of the center stand stop bracket, I would really appreciate it.
I included a picture from ebay of what looks to be the same exact version of the exhaust I have (midpipe being black, a part of the header unit, not a chromed integral part of the muffler itself). The brackets I need dimensions for are the two black ones at the bottom of the picture. I have to hope the fit is the same for both Maxims and Secas, but for reference I am fitting this to a Maxim. Thank you. exhaust.JPG

The short bracket is roughly 2.25" from from the center of the holes. and the long bracket is 5.25 from the center of the hole to the 90 degree bend. Personally I found the center stand retention bracket to be unsightly and removed the center stand.

    for a 550
154mm top to bottom bottom angle is 30 mm long, it is 32 mm wide
slot is 26 mm long 12.4 mm wide
for a 750 could not tell you. it wants to be long enough to keep the center stand of off the muffler
also keeps the stand from rubbing on the chain of a 550

Thank you very much. I'll be cutting up some brackets in short order. I do agree about the center stand, seems a bit out of place without the full OEM exhaust to hide it, but given the fact I'm constantly working on this, sorting out little gremlins I just don't feel ready to go without the center stand yet. Once I don't have a different fix-it project every week I might remove it.
Even if it is for the 550 size, which does look to be different dimensions wise, I can use the dimensions for the actual bottom angle, the 'foot' of the center stand bracket, as well as the size of the slot, since I kind of doubt they would complicate their operation with a lot of variably sized slots in all of their brackets. It's definitely appreciated.

center stand was the best part I replaced on the bike, need it to check oil level.
besides unless you are looking at your heels you never see it

5.25 inches is 133 mm sso i think it is the same bracket once you add 1/2 slot and a little more above the slot.

If it's the same bracket, I think I have a decent draft of the design down, though a few of my measurements are iffy.
Is 154mm the measurement from the bend for the foot to the center of the slot hole, or from the bend to the end of the bracket?
If 154mm is the greatest length of the part, assuming that the 1/2" by 1" slot hole on the center stand bracket is located on the end of the bracket the same as on the muffler bracket, I can figure that the distance from the foot to the inner side of the slot would be 118mm, or 4 5/8" and the distance from foot to outer side of the slot would be 144mm, 5 5/8", with the thickness of metal making up the rest of the length being 10mm or 3/8". Are these interpolations correct? http://i.imgur.com/0gvBWna.jpg is the draft I've got.

    154 from top to bottom
you want to make it so the center stand does not hit the shaft, or possibly the shaft drive

the muffler bracket did not work for me made my own, its a paper weight do you want it i will send it to you start a conversion with me with your address

Alright, if it is 154 from end to end then the measurements I have down on the draft I made should be correct, I can use that to build a center stand stop bracket. It doesn't look like the center stand is capable of hitting anything when it's up other than resting on the muffler which I figure can't be good for it.

As for the muffler bracket, I certainly appreciate the offer if you're sure you don't have any use for it, if I can figure out how to do conversations I will do so.

yup it would rattle bounce up and down as you ride and dent the exhaust, over time wear a hole or a good rust spot
