    Hi All,
I have a XJ750RL that I am restoring, it is basically a XJ900 with a 750 motor in it so here is my question. Can anyone tell me if the XJ600 fuel tank will be a direct swap with the XJ900 fuel tank. Both bikes are Australian delivered but I don't know if they use the same tank.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I don't have an answer but I have a question about what looks like a luggage rack behind your seat. Is that a factory one or an home-made? Can you post a few closeup pictures ? I'd like to install a backrest/luggage rack on my XJ900 and I'm gathering infos here and there to make my mind about the model I'd prefer.

I took a few minutes to check in both owner's manuals. Fuel tanks are not the same, XJ600 tank contains only 19 litres and XJ900 22 litres. I don't know if the XJ600 tank is slimmer, or shorter, or both.

Perhaps Dave, AKA Hogfiddles will chime in. He does tank swaps for fun in his spare time. He has various posts on tank swapping and what will fit, if you wanna search for them yourself.

Thanks for the advice. Quebecois59, the picture in my profile is not my bike (unfortunately) it is a pic I got off the internet so I do not know any details of it. My bike is in little bits at present. Also thanks for the advice on the tanks, I will leave the XJ600 tank alone and keep searching for a XJ900.

I'm pretty sure I could buy one for you around here for cheap, but the shipping cost could very well be prohibitive. Start a conversation with me if you're interested.
