Oil Pump Chain

    The oil pump chain on my 1981 XJ750RH (Seca) has some slack in it. How much slack is too much?

    Lift up on the chain at the sprocket. If more than half of a tooth is showing then it's too slack. Unless the bike has a heck of a lot of miles on it, the chain won't have worn enough to be too slack.
