Aaargh ! Second time I've done this. First time wasn't my fault but now I did it again (long story).
Snapped the tiny pointy bit of the(Mikuni) pilot screw in the hole leading to the intake. Tried pushing it back out but the brass burrs over and makes a kind of rivet. Thinking I'll now drill down form teh top but it looks like I'll need a drill bit no bigger that 1mm. Anyone tried this ?

Get at dental pick, or a thin needle. Put a 90º bend in the end (or use one that is pre-bent). Thake the carbs off of the bike. Look inside of the throat of the carb. Just above the throttle plate, about halfway back, you'll see the hole for the pilot air screw. Use the dental pick to push the broken end of the screw out.

Now if that is what you've been doing, then don't frack around. Take it to a machine shop.

try tapping it back and forth, if the "rivet" part breaks off you can try the dental pick again
don't do that no more !

I try to read the forums during my breaks at work. 2-10 minute and a 30 minute lunch doesn't allow for much typing. I read and reply when I get home and or once things settle. You know the drill. Lol.
