    Weird.

Not like that in north central Wisconsin . . . .

Just got done plowing with my (new to me) 2000 Polaris Xpedition 325 ATV - a new toy! Lots of fun, right up there with my XJ.

We broke a 100 year+ record today. This winter really made me regret storing my rider at a friends house this winter.

Yeah, it is weird....... Usually I'm riding a snowmobile on about 3 ft or more of snow at this time........

This year, I haven't even started a sled yet-----

It's funny how winter always ends 6 weeks after Groundhog's day. It's like there's some sort of astronomical system at work.

But if he sees his shadow (which he did not this year) then we're in for another month and a half of winter....... Lol

YEAH, YEAH..... we know how it really works, it's just a lot of fun.......actually, the kids in school are learning the song 'Groundhog' this week, too--

Punxetawney Phil may not have seen his shadow, but hogfiddles saw HIS!!

I was out grilling steak on the deck in a t-shirt. Now it's raining and near freezing. I worry about a repeat of January of '98. That sucked.

Don't worry about repeating January… We're already in February

Groundhog day is great! Something to chase off the February blaws.
We were due a milder winter up here after last winter with four months of -25F {-31 C}.
The firewood was flyin into the stove as fast as I could bring it in from the porch last winter, and I put R 20 throughout this old place {R 40 in the attic} when I did all the major restoration work, years ago.
Still it was white knuckle driving weather here yesterday. Snow the night before last, freezing rain and ice yesterday morning, then it turned to rain in the afternoon as the temp rose above freezing. On the way back from Ottawa with the load, it was fog with lightening. lol All in 12 hours.
Nobody is ice fishing here this winter. Too unstable.

They were out on the ice a couple of weeks ago, a car or two fell through.
