I was thinking about changing out my plug wires like the posts I've seen on this site but then I just saw these babys.

    Anyone ever try these?

Are they any good and do they come with the bakelite wire ends that plug onto the spark plugs?

If youve used them, do you like them?

    Thanks guys

Looks like they would work just fine, provided the cap resistance is the same as specified for our XJ's. 5Kohm caps as memory serves. I didn't see anything on the package (picture is too small) so I suggest you shoot the seller a question before diving in.

Robert, the items in the link are plug wire splice kits, not a spark plug caps, so they should have no resistance!

True, but the fine print infers that this will replace molded ends, thus I surmised the complete package... guess I didn't eat my breakfast early enough! Pictures are really small. Oh well, chalk it up to blurry-eyed morning monsteritis. Doesn't look like to bad a move for repair, just extra plastic to rattle around below the tank. Not to bad for a cheap repair.

I have them on my chopper. You can kinda see one just below the clutch lever end. Works fine I relocated my coil.

i spliced mine with Accel wires from the auto parts store, solid copper all the way to the plug, yellow with red boots, think they have red and blue too
about 20 bucks for a set for a V8, or two bikes
i was under the impression that all resistor wires and plug caps were for was radio interference
    am i misinformed ?

That is the purpose I understood as well. Sounds like you took the road less traveled Polock. Still, you got there just fine. Any trouble with the coils or your ignition as a result?

Is the idea to allow you to Cut the old wire ... leaving a short pigtail ... installing the Kit and then running new wire to the Plug Cap?

I think a set of Yellow Plug Wired would look pretty darn good on the Old RickCo-Max!

Darn I was looking at the picture and thought they had yellow wire on them already. Blasted pictures!
