OK, I finally got to check my valve clearances today and pull out the shims.
I've looked at the shim chart, but I'm not sure what I need.
All of my intake valves where within spec, so I'll just post the exhaust #'s

    Cylinder 1 .076mm clearance with a Y295 shim
    Cylinder 2 .127mm clearance with a Y275 shim
    Cylinder 3 .152mm clearance with a Y270 shim
    Cylinder 4 .127mm clearance with a Y265 shim.

Any help is appreciated, if someone more experienced could take a look I'd be very grateful.

Valve clearance is increased or decreased in increments of .05.
    .076 = .08 + .10 = .18 (spec)
You subtract the .10 from the existing shim because more clearance is needed.
order or shim pool 285 for 1, move 270 from 3 to 2, move 265 from 4 to 3, order or shim pool 260 for 4.
    The clearance will be:
    .18, .18, .20, .18.
    Exhaust spec is .16mm - .20mm

You don't have to do all that figuring: in-spec is in-spec; out-of-spec is out-of-spec. You check what the current clearance and shims sizes are, and check the chart. In spec is .16-.20mm.

But the end result: Gary is right...
    You need a 260 and a 285.

    Add a 260 to cyl 4
Move the 265 to cyl 3
Move the 270 from cyl 3 to cyl 2
    Add a 285 to cyl 1

Two shims removed to send to pool...
    275, 295

I'll see what's in the pool....

    Thanks guys! That's what I thought, I just wasn't 100% sure.
If you don't mind, let me know how the pool works.

    Thench,

I have the 185 in the pool; the 260 is currently empty BUT another member has a 260 that is being replaced. If he sends it's to the pool, it will be available. How soon do you need it? Otherwise I can order one for you and get you fixed up quick. Start a conversation with me....,
