Video of my Carb Boot Repair

Hey guys I'm a new member of this wonderful forum and am currently in the process of repairing my friends old 1982 xj650. We have been taking a lot of tips from the internet and filming our process along the way.

We created a short video of a carb boot repair using heat shrink tubing. I remember reading about it on this forum but haven't seen any videos of the process.

Let me know what you guys think.

yes, I think that may have been my suggestion in ( http://www.xjbikes.com/forums/threads/bensalfs-4-year-caferacer-build.78581/page-7#post-503573)
I used some black silicon sealant (rtv) between the heat shrink and the boot,
as "xj550h" says ,glue lined heatshink would do both.
