These pop up from time to time. The ads I love are the ones with every make and model of every bike ever made listed at the bottom, so that the ad will show up in every search for no matter what machine.

    My sides hurt! :D

Sad thing it isn't funny because there are so many "cobbled claptrap hillbilly contraptions" out there. And these are brought to you by the same people that are voting for our next elected official!

    Me? I'm voting for Canada:

Building a wall to keep us out...LOL. Probably not a bad idea Canada, before some genius here notices all your oil rigs sitting idle, then there is a 'suicide moose' that crosses the border and blows up, and before you know it, we are fighting a "war on terror" with Canada.

I'm so fed up of these morons chopping XS frames to make these horrible, almost-impossible-to-ride bikes.

Yep, that XS looks dumb, looks too loud and looks awkward to ride.

And if you offer him $2,500 he will tell you to pound sand.
He qualifies as an ass-hat wearing douche waffle! :p:p

I think part of the problem with the bikes that look like crap and ride like crap after being butchered is just bad planning and too much racing to the finish. When cutting and re-manufacturing any bike people should take more time in their thought process, all parts were put together a certain way to get a certain feel not just for looks so any adjustment made changes other factors in my opinion. chopping a frame can either stiffen or loosen the ride for example.

    re: Canada-cy...

    Too funny!

Thinking to self: "Hmm, let's see, if there are 35 million of us splitting a year's shift of taking care of our southern neighbours, that would be about 15 one thousandths of a second each...couldn't mess up that badly in that short of a time..."

I'll take my shift of course...

Other part of the problem is that many guys doing so are just plain stupid and don't know what they're doing.

I recently bought a '79 CR250R for a bit too much $. The guy had "rebuilt" the top end himself...

I took off the cylinder to inspect as it felt underpowered, A nice wiseco piston was put in backwards, with the intake cut out on the exhaust side and exhaust port holes drilled on the intake side making the piston useless. AND it had scored the cylinder walls.

It didn't shift all that well so I took apart the lower end...I don't even want to start listing the foolishness I found in there.

So, even if it looks decent from the outside...

Mind you, I'm at fault for buying it while my "gut" was telling me "Run Away!"

I agree with Québécois59, some people "are just plain stupid" and should have their tools confiscated.

    I don't get this.

He "put a ton of money" into an XS to pretend to be a Harley. And he wants to trade it for a Harley. WTF didn't he just get a Harley to begin with? Then he could be like tens of thousands of other individualist rebels with the same bike.

its the hard sales pitch method.
Maybe ask why the only mirror is on the wrong side.

he is just kicking himself in the a@# for spending all that money instead of just buying a HD to start with' after all his HD riding friends make him ride at the back of the pack
