as you all may know ive had my bike down to the bare bones (motor/trans not removed)...

ive been working on it and got the upper rear end (fender, turn signals, glove box, shocks etc) all put back on...

with a preliminary power check, i get the orange turn signal indicator on with key on; flashing in conjunction with right side turn signals, and full on with left turn signals SELECTED, but without the left signals working...

ive checked my wiring and the connections and they APPEAR correct. i work on million dollar 6-axis milling machines so i make sure to label things when i pull them apart. as far as i can tell i marked them correctly...

    any suggestions

    thanks

    silly question here

could you have possibly laid out the harness in reverse?

front on the rear rear on the front????

did that once with an enduro , when it came to hooking up the headlight i realised what i did

    just a thought

    chalk it up to gremlins...

i decided to look at the connections from the rear signals. i had a couple of wires mis-connected. must have been the lousy lighting last night...

tried them again and now i get the left rear to light but not blink. (nothing on the left front) im thinking ive got a bad bulb. i pull the bulb and its good. i plug it back in and try it again. nothing...

i trace the wires into the headlight nacelle so i pull the sealed beam. i unplug the bulb, check the voltage on its socket and happen to bump the left turn. now they work but i still have no headlight...

yes, i checked the 10 amp fuse (continuity check passed) and i have 12+ volts going TO the fuse so someplace AFTER the fuse but before the lamp ive got an open...

more work on it tomorrow unless i go play some golf!
