The 550 is leaking oil from it looks like behind the neutral switch.
I was thinking about making a gasket if I need to.
I haven't had it apart so I have no idea what I'm up against at this point.
How much oil leaks when you pull the white cover?
Any thoughts or experience would be appreciated.

Looks to me more like it's coming from the shift-shaft seal.

    It could be.
I had one leak on a GL500 once.
It wouldn't hurt to go ahead and replace it if I can find one.
So any idea what's behind the neutral switch cover?

The neutral switch. Oil. The shift drum.

Okay it looks like there's a O ring behind it.
In case anyone needs to know. It looks like you can get them and the shift shaft seal
