Ok, say you catch a flat rear tire. Now this thing is completely flat were its almost resting on the rim. How would you go about getting this to the shop? or would you even take it to the shop?

You could get a plug kit and tire pump and fix it right where it's at, if it's plugable.

you could do what I did when I went to pick up my bike when i bought it and load it in the back of a pickup by yourself.

That sucked so bad but there was no way I was going to turn around and go home and I didnt know anyone in the area. I don't know why i thought it wouldn't be that bad.

    500lbs>me

My back was killing me the next day but I did it :D

Pull the rim and stick out your thumb. Some fellow rider will pick you up for sure. Your not at a rest stop in the middle of nowhere right? A patch kit will work for a simple puncture but it is not recommended by any tire manufacture for bikes. Some shops won't even do it. Good luck buddy.

A suggestion from someone who is mechanically challenged...

I know there are several folks on this site that can rebuild their XJs with their eyes closed - I for one am not that fortunate. As a result, I'm going with Bikeline's 24hr. emergency roadside assistance. It is part of my insurance policy I get through Markel. Never used it (as I've only had it for about a week) and I hope I don't have to.

all fantastic ideas. I decided to call a few buddies over in the lure that i was feeding them. After i did feed them i kindly mentioned my bike, and how it needed to get picked up onto there truck. The SOB was heavy as hell, but we managed.
