Gee, I was *so* hoping to spend more money on this bike instead of riding it, and my wish came true! Yaaay!!
I was bleeding the brakes after installing new lines, and now I have a new leak, it comes dripping out of the very bottom, where the two wires come through, whenever I squeeze the lever. Does a rebuild kit cover this new leak, or is this a separate issue?

There is a seal where the float switch wires enter the master cylinder housing. I think there is a thread in the DYI section on how to remedy the problem.
As a temporary measure you can clean the area, and use an oil-proof RTV to seal the leak.

My MC has that float as well, there is an 0-ring on the float. Mine is apart if you need some pics on how to pull that part. You can get the o-ring locally at a parts store.

I took my wifes inspection flashlight from work, which is less bright than a solar flare, and I guess I cant tell where it is coming from. It appears to be leaking from the bottom, but I noticed when I looked at it again that there is a small crack up the outside of the housing, right where the bolt goes in the top. Tomorrow Ill try wiping it down real good, and see If I can pinpoint it better.

A dust of baby powder will show it to you.

On the 750 Seca, the fluid level sensor is in the reservoir, and there is an o-ring that seals the sensor shaft where it exits the floor of the reservoir......

Well, I took a syringe and took some of the brake fluid out of the M/C via that bolt on the back of it....seemed to stop leaking, which seems to tell me that that crack on the back of the housing is doing it. I just went ahead and picked up a different M/C and two calipers on fleaBay, am going to rebuild/refurbish all three when I get them, and try those.

I did have a new problem crop up that I have not figured out yet. When I put the new lines on it I also replaced the front bearings/seals. When I was rolling it around in my shop, I noticed that the front wheel was sort of squeaking. I jacked the front wheel off of the ground and also noticed that it was not spinning freely like it should. I removed the calipers one at a time, and in all cases it still squeaked, so I am not suspecting those. I checked the tire and it is not rubbing on the fender anywhere. Was there some sequence of tightening the front axle down I may have missed that might cause this?

When you installed the new bearings, did you take care to ensure they were "just touching" the spacer tube? There's nothing stopping you from putting the bearings in too far and if they are tight against the spacer, they will side-load which causes them to bind and not spin freely. I made this same mistake a few weeks ago and had to put a second set of bearings in. Once they're in, there's no way to pull them back out without damaging them.

jayrodoh I think I must have dodged that bullet; I took the wheel off this morning and on the left side, inside the new seal, I noticed some silver had rubbed off from the speedo drive. Guess I did not get any grease in there...greased it up, put it back together and it stopped with the squeaking and binding.
