Do I have to re-jet or any other special mods in other to install Mac 4-1?

    I want to get the Mac 4-1 on my 81 XJ650, do i have to re-jet or do any special mods to the carb so the exhaust would work correctly? Thank you

    The first thing you would need to make sure that your bike is running as it did when it came out of the dealer.

    That will give you an ideal base line to modify your bike.

    Probably not. The stock exhaust is not very restrictive.

    you will have to do a plug chop or two to confirm , or use a color tune tool to check for lean condition.

    I had to go up a size on my main jets and idle jets, other than that nothing else was done.
