Never forget that Memorial Day is to remember those who gave all. I have served. I have deployed. But it is nothing compared to those who gave their lives, and their families who live without their loved ones. To those amazing men and women, I am in awe and have great gratitude.

Quick quiz. Why is D.C. singing a Deep Purple song?

In loving memory of Staff Sergeant Todd Cornell. :(
He was amazing; respectful, funny and strong physically and mentally.
Love and respect to his family.

Well because Deep Purple truly rocks!
They are a band that had a lot of rotating members and according to Wiki, Coverdale was the Deep Purple vocalist on their Burn album. My prefered Deep Purple line up was with Ian Gillan on vocals and Roger Glover on bass. Made In Japan was my first hard rock album that I bought . . . and I was never the same.

Used to have a couple Whitesnake albums. I still like the 70s and 80s hair bands better than most of the music out today.

Meh. Hair metal seems kinda silly to me. What's with the tights and scarfs? Thank gawd Nirvana came along. I used to have to fight the hair metal dudes cuz I rode a skateboard. History (and the Xgames) have proven me right. Skateboards are cooler than 10 speeds.

Ha ha ha. I've never been a fan of Nirvana, but hey, to each their own. My wife got me listening to country music, which would shock the folks who knew me in high school.
