Well, I started the Whole Nine Yards Carb Cleaning odyssey today. As I was removing the jets for some Seafoam soaking, the main jet head broke off.
What am I going to do?
    Any ideas?
The needle nose pliers I had with me were to big to grab onto the remains.
How am I going to get the body out?
    Thanks.

tiny little easy out might get her out of there. Its worth a try. Left handed drill bit may back it out also.

The Brass that it's made from is pretty soft. You might be able back it out with one of those Sears Screw and bolt removers Sears.

Just be careful not to spin that emulsion tube in the carb housing, cause if it has a set pin it for the tube you could twist it off.

Or just push it out and work it outside the carb body. It looks like if you pull the top and diaphram/needle it should push right out.

I agree with Richard - go to the top of that particular carb and remove the cover plate, the diaphram assembly (diaphram, brass cylinder and needle) and the the other end of the emulsion tube is what you see in the bottom of that chamber. SO LONG AS THERE IS NO PART OF THE EMULSION TUBE HEAD LEFT ON THE BOTTOM OF THE CARB (WHERE IT BROKE OFF), then I would think you could gently push it through the top of the carb, just as you would normally if it weren't broken. I would not try to get the screw out at this time - the above is the easiest avenue to go first - and involves the least amount of further risk to the carb... IMHO of course...

Thanks for all the advice guys. I removed the emulsion tube through the top of the carb, wrapped it in some tape and stuck it in a vice. Put a drill-out into the jet's hole and spun it out. Easy-peasy. :)

    Thanks!
