81 xj 750 shaft drive oil

    Gday fellow xj'ers, finally got the ol girl back on the road after a few months in the shed, now its time to replace the engine oil and the diff oil. I don't have a manual for the bike so was wondering what oil to use for the diff and what oil for the engine? I ride year round with a temperature range between 5° Celsius and 45° Celsius. Any help gratefully appreciated.

    Spec for the final drive is 80 weight GL-4, but GL-5 can be used. Multi-grade is fine.

    Any JASO MA compliant oil in a viscosity for your riding environment for the engine.

    I have 80w 90 for the final drive and 15w 40 for the engine.
