I was at the drag strip with a few of my friends today and decided to take out the 550 Seca.

    Just for reference I'm 6'4, 215 lb's with gear.

My friend was in the other lane on his 2007 GSXR 750. I actually had him on the launch but obviously his some 90+ pony's took over pretty fast.

Too cool, last time I looked into doing any track (not drag) running, they had rules about removing all glass/ plastic from bike before you could run. (Headlight, turn indicators, gauge cluster . . . probably my corrective bi-focals)

Yeah I know for the road course you have to tape off anything that can shatter. It's also a lot more expensive to enter, the drag strip was $40 for the day and I could go down it as many times as I pleased whereas I believe the road course is $120.

At about 37 seconds you can see the name, Cayuga, not too far from where you live.

specialk, you weren't at the track this weekend were you? One guy in the street class had a horrific crash. Last I heard on the news was one leg completely severed below the knee and the other one was almost gone below the knee! It's a dangerous sport we partake in be it racing on the track or riding on the street, everyone take care out there.

If the original owner hadn't gotten rid of it would be on! I'm on the hunt for a 600cc engine to put into it over the winter. Hopefully that will help with my size.

I was actually, the crash happened a day before on the Friday. Apparently he was on a ZX6R and got into a speed wobble at roughly 130mph and hit the cement berrier. I felt kind of sick to my stomach when I heard about it. Especially after I had finished racing myself on that very track.

Well this is a rookie mistake. Just took out my airfilter and it was pretty filthy. Cleaned it out and now she pulls harder at high rpm. I'm going to have to go back to the track and see what sort of time I can record with the engine breathing correctly.

Let me know when you go we could go head to head. I think you have a weight advantage on me.

Will do! We'll have to arrange something. Haha I'm sure my height and poor aerodynamics makes helps even things out
