Injection?

    i was wondering if there is a kit i can buy to fuel inject my 82 xj650 instead of trying to have the carbs rebuild and tuned ?

    No kit currently exists. Fuel injection is entirely a DYI proposition, and will take months (if not years) longer than rebuilding your carbs (which you can do yourself).

    If you really want FI there are several threads here; just search.
    FI alone won't make the bike faster, or run better.

    Thank you for the fast response i was just wondering since my brother got a kit for his bike not a xj to convert from carb to injection

    There just isn't the market for it yet. Maybe in a few years as more people start collecting the XJ series.

    good point just tired of hand to redo my carbs after storing the bike seems like there is always a issue when going to fire up the bike

    What is your procedure for getting the machine ready for storage?

    well when parking the bike for long periods of time i drain everything well last time the spring load and jets were clogged cleaned them a week later the rubber gaskets failed then the last time they some how got out of sync even though when i parked it everything was fine

    Sounds to me like the carbs are just past-due for a thorough servicing. Read that link I posted earlier.
