Are there companies or people that make one of these? Considering the wiring on my bike is 26 years old, I was thinking of completely replacing all of it. Not only will it be more reliable, but if any other electrical components go bad, it would take the guessing game out of diagnosing and wondering if its a bad wire lead.

So is this available, or do i need to buy wire and measure and mark?

    Thanks

    K

There are a few companies that make generic motorcycle harnesses (mostly for custom choppers), which have the basic 12v circuits going to the correct general areas, and a fuse/circiut breaker block... Headlight, taillight, brake light, gauge lights/power, turn signals, horn, voltage regulator, ignition power feed, starter relay feed. The ignition system itself (and its related wiring), along with the high current wiring (starter, alternator) are not included. However, they generally DO include a variety of connectors, terminals, loom/wrap/ties, etc.

This is definitely a good place to start, then you can add anything else that isn't included onto it. Sourcing spools of different colored wire (keep in mind that there is only about 5 different colors available per gauge.. if you want more than that, tracer wire has to be special ordered online), connectors, terminals, loom, fuse block, etc., will almost always cost you more than the premade generics, and you of course will have leftover wire, so thats unnecessary cost too.
