When you bought that did you have to fill it with battery acid or it came with it in already?

Exide lead acid. $39 - I get two, sometimes 3 seasons out of it. I add the acid and charge for a short time before installing.

I run the cheap Yuasa from Walmart. I bought it because I was evaluating the bike before buying it. When this wears out, I'll get an AGM because I want something sealed. Lithium isn't the best money spent for most of us.

Interstate has earned my loyalty. The only lead acid batteries I buy anymore are interstate. I've got a 69 ford with an interstate battery that is at least 12 years old, and it starts every spring after sitting all winter without any charging, tending, jumping, or anything. The one in my xj is about 4 seasons old now and it still has an amazing amount of life in it. It's almost dried out completely 3 or 4 times, and I just fill it up with more electrolyte and/or distilled water and it still works like its new. It sits outside all winter without any tending or anything and it still is working fine. I do have to charge the motorcycle batteries in the spring, however.

Does the sensor have to be eliminated with AGM ?

The sensor doesn't need to be eliminated, but if you leave it as is on the Atari XJs you will get the warning light every time. XJ4ever has a kit so that you can change it over to measure voltage instead of fluid level, or you can just put 2 2k ohm resistors in between that wire and the tail light, which is what I did (I actually used 2 2.2k resistors because I read they were ok and they were cheaper or something, I forget).

There is no place to put the sensor on an AGM battery, No reason not to eliminate it.
