Has anyone used after market carb diaphragms from JBM ?
    http://jbmindustries.com/

My diaphragms are 26 years old, and new OEM ones are more expensive than the bike itself.

I know some of the boots have had problems of delaminating. Only thing I can see with the diaphrams they may not be same thickness as original may not fit perfect. Do your original have holes in them? My set are original and work just fine.

No holes, only one has small wrinkles. They work fine, but in case I needed new ones .... there is not other choice as to buy OEM at a totally unreasonable price, or search for used ones in better condition.

I've used the jbm diaphragms on my XJ900F rebuild.

I've put on about 100 kilometres with the rebuilt carbs and all seems to be working fine.

Getting the old diaphragms off was both a tough and delicate exercise but fitting the new ones as per the jbm website was a breeze.

And most of all 4 x rubber diaphragms from jbm are waaaaayyyy cheaper than having to buy them with the slide attached.

Just follow the instructions and all should be well - they don't have little tabs on them like the original ones but once fitted you just align them as shown on the instructions.

Let me know if you get them and need any assistance.

Thanks CafeBlack, I was afraid they may not fit well. Which model did you buy ? It looks like BS32/34 use the same diaphragm from JBM.

Hi. Yes I think that was it...BS34 but will have to check back on my records. They fitted perfectly in the grooves in the XJ900F (1985).
