Someone before me put a 4 in 1 aftermarket exhaust on, and took the baffle out. I would like to put a baffle back in so its stock and has the correct back pressure. Does anyone have any experience in this? Also Does anyone know how to tell the brand of exhaust or do I just need the diamater?
    Thanks!

So i pulled the "baffle" which ended up being a lack there of. Basically its just a cap and two cones that were cut off and one seemed like it was straight lined up and the other cut cone looked like it was offset a little bit. I'm just wanting to return the 4-1 back to stock. Any ideas

I'd look at modifying the existing baffle so that you have a re-packable insert. That'd be much less expensiv than getting a new 4-2 or finding a stock setup in good condition.

All XJs of th period cam with a 4-2 system.

There isnt really anything there just a cap and 2 pieces of 2 inch long by 1 inch approximately, pieces of pipe. I guess my question should be what do i need to build in order to have the correct back pressure?

    Original was 4-2 exhaust.

Back pressure is nominal. The XJ is a very free-blowing exhaust to begin with. I wouldn't try to create extra back pressure.
