hey guys i am after some help regarding fuel lines there seem to be 2 lines going into the carbies i can also see the vacume hose that connects to the petcock

are both hoses supposed to be connected to the fuel tank via a y adapter ???
or is it just the one hose

    regards steve

Steve, sit tight someone will give the correct answer.

I am not familiar with the 900 but can offer this. You should have the vacuum line coming off the top threat of the carbs on the engine side and it runs to the petcock. The fuel line should run down from the petcock below the throats on the airbox side.

Now is where I start to ass-u-me .. . . Some XJ's have an 'over flow' line that runs from the carb bowl(s) back to the crankcase? . . Hopefully someone here will affirm/ add more detail to that last bit.

Yep, it was kinda early when I posted . .

I think I meant air box . . . . Some kinda over flow thingy that some XJ's have. But not on a 650 Maxim, so maybe someone with a 900 could answer Steve's question?

Like my xj750rl they are overflow hoses that go down behind carbs and go past back of engine
some models have vent and overflow hoses but fuel is a single line and vacuum line
