I have an 81 Seca 550 I've chosen the modified rout with, so I'll be parting with a few cosmetic parts if anyone is interested. I have the following in good condition:
    -mirrors
-all 4 turn signals with hardware ,wiring
    -both horns
    -gauge cluster
    -tail light assy.
    -"highway" bars
-side covers, original paint, stripes, spec stickers (my profile pic)
    -headlight brackets
-lower fork bracket cover (chrome, says "Yamaha")

I also have the fairing with brackets and windshield, original paint and stripes, however, there are a few chips in the paint around the headlight opening, and on the left side there is a puncture in the fiberglass. The original owner left the "cleaning instructions" sticker on the windshield and i believe the adhesive interacted poorly with the plexiglass, so it appears to be checked. Any questions ask freely. I have pictures but they would be easier to email until i figure out how to get them off my phone onto my laptop. I'm savvy with a wrench and dangerous with computers.

Hey thanks for the heads up! The turn signals from this bike are in excellent condition. I'd like to get $50 for each pair, but I'd prefer not to break up the pairs.

I'll actually be at the Winners Circle in Hanover PA tonight for a gig. I'll be there from 8pm to midnight. I could bring them for you to look at. I begin playing at 9 but we will take breaks, and as it is an open jam, i will be relinquishing my drums to others to sit in on.:D

$45 for the crash bars and the fender? I live about 65 miles NE of Harrisburg so Hanover would be about 100 miles from me.

That seat looks really good. Mine has a couple of minor tears. What are you thinking on the seat?

That seat pan looks perfect and the seat itself looks really good too. If I needed seat for my Seca I'd be all over it. Actually all of these parts look pretty nice. I can only imagine why u would part it out.

A message to my new friends..... I fear the potential that the purists here would hate me for taking such a specimen and going the modified route. I don't blame you. But this is why i want to make these parts available here. I am an old SAAB head from the time i was a child. I drive an old 900 turbo and i know what its like to find out someone was molesting a pristine specimen. I hope what I'm looking to sell these parts for is fair to the community, and I hope that my finished project pays homage to the work all of you have done here.

I think what made it easy for me was having acquired the bike already half stripped. The cowl was off, the carbs were off (I frantically tapped off the intake ports). I immediately started itemizing the boxed parts to ensure it was all there. But having it in the shop at work, every time I walked by it, I kept seeing its shape and it was begging to have the headlamp lowered, the bars flattened.... I just couldn't see putting that cowl back on. But as I studied it, and mulled over how well it was built, how dry the engine was, how high quality the wiring and electronics are...... I decided that although I'd pass on some of its more 80's styling, I would nurture the heart of this little beast and preserve its most reliable features. For me a classic motorcycle is all about its tank, and headlamp. And i find the 550H lends both in perfect fashion. I also love the tail cowling and thanks to Mike with his beautiful cafe seca 900, I realized how pushing it forward was all that was needed to balance the bikes fore to aft symmetry. I cant wait to get started making a seat pan, headlamp/ gauge mounts. I'm opting for a black koso (3") multi function tnt-01, and i will add the chrome bezel. The patina on the tank paint is incredibly attractive to me and matches that of the tail cowl, so nothing will be done there. Said patina, is complimented by the gold chrome emblems and lower fork tube coating. All unnecessary tabs will be cut off of the frame and welds will be carefully ground smooth. Anyway, I hope my plans aren't too offensive to the the purists here. You guys are the ones who maintain the baseline of what these bikes do stock, and that is the center of the circle from which all successful modding and tuning can be achieved. I learned along time ago as an auto tech, make it right stock, then move from there. This will be my first project ever, starting out modded. For all I'll know, I'll get it running and it won't be as crisp as a properly tuned stock unit. But my years of experience and proper factory info will get me close. Anyway, the reason I'm here is to have you guys as cautionary mentors. I am green and humble. Thanks all for the interest in the parts. That not only ensures they go to the right bikes, but also finances this one being taken care of.

    -Nate

got my covers and light yesterday at work yesterday. tail light fantastic shape, side covers pristine. the gold lettering unscratched.

the only problem is now I have to paint my tank fender and tail cowl pearl white to match them instead of red.

    Hey there,
I'm a bit late to the game here, but do you still have the turn signals? I'm looking for rear indicators and gas tank emblems for my '81 Seca 550.
