After cleaning and repairing my gas tank 4 times...(two that I thought were very good), I am looking to buy a new/used/refurbished gas tank, petcock, and also a starter. Any ideas? What am I going to spend? I am looking for a cheap solution (of course, due to the fact that I am a college student, with a family) but I feel this will be the best solution for me...what do ya'll think?

I might have a starter that I can let go. I want to test it first to make sure it is still good. I have had it in a box for some time now. What is wrong with yours if I might ask. I find it kinda hard to think yours is no good. These things will rotate pretty darn good even when the battery is low.

The case on the outside is cracked, and caved in.

As for the gas tank, does anyone know if they make palstic tanks that could fit? (and then paint it)

So on to the gas tank....Are there any plastic replacements? How about used tanks? Anything else that fits?

I haven't seen any plastic fuel tanks.

Keep an eye on ebay for used tanks, or see if you have a bike wrecker ( or is it called a recycler? ) near your location for a used tank.

What's wrong with your current fuel tank?

I've got a tank I might be able to let go. It depends on whether or not I part the bike out. I do have an extra tank, but it needs to be redone on the inside...it's perfectly straight, but isn't pretty. Anything else you need?

I am looking for one that is clean on the inside, I can paint it and fix the exterior (have lots of experience with that). Is the inside clean and happy?
