Just for gits and shiggles, how available would a frame be for an '81 XJ650? The local craigslist page has a guy parting out this bike, wanting $200 for it -- yet it runs. My curiosity got the better of me, so I asked what the story behind his parting it out was. The answer: no title and a cracked frame just forward of the left shock.

So, if anybody wants the guts of a 650, or has a frame handy, click here.

Schmuck, you thinkin' what I'm thinkin'? It'd be sweet to hook up on that thing and pick it clean. No title tends to lead me to think it isn't a good idea to touch it though.

Even better would be to swap the guts into another frame, hence the reason for the original post. But yes, the lack of title does sound a wee bit suspicious.
