I want to switch out my handle bars on my 82 xj650 maxim to something a little lower and a little more cafe like? To do this that means I need to get new cables and wires right ?

I put a drag bar on my 82 seca xj750 and the cables worked just fine. I did have to put different risers on the bar to keep the bar from hitting the gas tank though.

wires can be tucked in you will need new shorter control cables shorter brake line.
