    Friend of mine just picked up a new treasure and got the numbers off the neck for me . Who can give me info on this bike if I give you the numbers ?
    Any help is appreciated .

    It's a 1980 US model XJ650G from serial # 4H7-000101 to ~4H7-100000

    1981 models start at serial # 4H7-100101

    Thanks guys , I'll let him know . It's in less than mint shape , LOL probably no title , so it's getting parted out and sold . He got a trailer load of bikes and parts in the deal and the max came with the carbs off of it . He has a pile of carbs in the trailer too , but no hitachis . Does have a set of mikunis that look like they may fit . What's the chances the mikunis belong to the maxim ?

    Not good, I'm afraid. The owner's manual for the bike says the carbs are HSC32s, and those are Hitachi.

    Carbs shouldn't be that difficult to get ahold of. I wouldn't sweat it too much.
