Looks like it came off the showroom floor. That is truly lust worthy.

Its pretty clean, allegedly 14K, most of the engine/brightwork is good, silencers are pitted, in the two spots you can just see, Atari....never heard that before !!, is in good condition, not faded, but switchgear is, a little

She runs, but No 1? cylinder....from sitting on the bike, is very obviously missing, exhaust is hot then colder than the others, and she's definitely running rich, exhaust tips are really quite sooty....but dry, thank god, and really no smoke at all, choke SEEMS to be closing, so might take plugs out first, then drain screws, if all else fails, i guess the carbs will HAVE to come off

Couple of light scuffs on the panniers, slight rusting on YAMAHA tank badges/edges...brakes seems fine, rear looks about 1/2 worn, going by indicator...gearbox shifts good, no clunks from driveshaft.......my fingers and toes are crossed, lol!!

fairing lowers on one side, slight crack, but....I might remove those anyway.....

I HATE fast food, but was tired, hungry, still sweating my 'tie down' skills, the road was long, etc, etc, etc lol!!

Well, the furthest I've gone before (UK) was 'only' 250 miles.....but that WAS for a 'brand new, in the crate 1991/'83.....duh, Maxim 750 American import!!

Very nice! Hoping to get mine like that some day! I have all the fairings and luggage like yours, but not in as nice of shape. Mine is a bit darker gray. Giving me something more to work for!

    Too much!!
it was first up for 1800....some weeks ago, then, I saw it at 1400......

But it still didn't sell, so, I offered 1000, if we convert that into Pounds sterling, which, as an 'Ex Pat' ( never understood that.....just because I choose to live in another Country, how does that not make me patriotic anymore?.....)..I like to do, it works out at just over 700 quid.....and since I once bought a VERY ratty, 7 owner...yes 7 owner XJ650 Seca, 40,000 miles, for 500 pounds....that broke down (briefly) on the way home (but did go on to cover over 140K miles) "just over 700 quid" doesn't sound TOO bad!!

I've got to add my time, and my fuel costs to that too.....NY>Kentucky, pretty far!!
I WAS going to fly>ride.....glad I didn't.....it's one thing traveling <300 miles, UK, to pick up a bike, but near 900......on an unknown quantity...when was the oil last changed, when was the bevel box oil changed, how old are the tyres, etc etc.....

Ex Pat is not short for ex-patriot. It's short for expatriate. Totally diffrent word, and meaning.

PS: Anyone ever used Bridgestone Spitfires?, they're an unknown quantity to me ( I would count myself as a (typical?) fast Sportsbike/Streetbike rider, ex courier...though these days, getting too old...but I HAVE scraped the pegs on my old XJ's....in the past, and DO ride in the rain !!)

They're on the bike....I LOVE BT45's....used those on a 400 Katana, years ago, but Spitfires are an unknown quantity........they don't look cracked, not checked the date codes yet, but I'm tempted to just run her...once I get the misfire put to bed, for the rest of the Summer??
    Thanks, in advance lads....and lasses..
