Curious if anyone has tried these on their maxim? Does anyone know if they will fit? I was looking at the turn out version. I know i will probably need a new mounting bracket but will the opening fit on the 1 1/2" exhaust pipe? Im more just curious to see how they sound before i orderes them. Thanks in advance.

I put some sportster mufflers on my maxim. I had to do a little customizing with them but nothing too serious.

Sorry...what was the customizing you had to do? Did they just slip on the 1 1/2" exhaust pipe?

The point at which I cut what was left of the factory mufflers off didn't leave any pipe for them to slip on. I went to work and expanded some small sections of pipe that I welded in the factory pipe leaving me enough pipe to be able to clamp them on. I also had to cut and move the hangers as they weren't quite in the right position to line up with the factory brackets.
