Dumb question of the day. Front fork air valve location. 750X

    Doing some reading on my 1986 Maxim 750 X and found the front fork air pressure should be 5.7 lb to I think 10 lb or so. Use a hand pump and I'll probably use a quad tire pressure gauge to check the setting.
    The bike is not here and I've looked at the manual. Poor pics. And a Parts fiche. Poor naming convention
    Any help on where these nipples are so I can check mine when my bike come back?

    Don't remember there being air forks on maxim X?? Just looking in manual and it does. Parts diagrams don't show the valve as a separate part. But states
    5.7-17 psi

    My 650 Maxim has the air fork, on mine there is a black plastic cap on the top of each fork leg, you unscrew those and the valve is underneath

    Exactly. The last step of reassembling the forks as stated in the manual is to set to the required air pressure

    yup there is a cap and that is where you find the nipple shows it in the owners manual
